Greetings Ambush of Sound Parents,
As you may have read or witnessed at the school board meeting, the Dekalb County School District will begin allowing voluntary in person rehearsals for marching bands, auxiliary units, and JROTC very soon. Although this is exciting news, I am most concerned with ensuring the safety of our students, staff and volunteers. The first step to our return involves ensuring that all are aware of the policies and guidelines associated with a safe and effective return to band activities. There are some very important documents for parents, guardians, and students to review along with a brief survey to gather data that will be utilized to promote the safe return to band activities for members and families of The Ambush of Sound Band Program.
Please compete the following steps:
Please note that a prompt response to the steps listed is much needed, in order to assign pods, obtain supplies, prepare facilities, set and communicate a rehearsal schedule, etc. for the program.
We will need a community effort in order to safely return to band activities. All hands on deck, if you will. In order to stay up to date on the next steps, make sure you are signed up for the “BAND” App.
