​Mrs. Marie A. Douglas
Director of Bands

Mrs. Douglas completed her undergraduate studies in Music (Horn Performance) at Florida A&M University in Tallahassee, Florida. During her tenure at FAMU she served as Section Leader for the Horn Section for 4 years and participated in many musical ensembles, to include: FAMU Wind Ensemble, Horn Choir, Horn Quartet, Brass Ensemble, Brass Quintet, and The FAMU Orchestra.

Mrs. Douglas holds two master’s Degrees, Internet Marketing (Full Sail University 2017) and Music Technology (Southern Utah University 2018). She is a highly sought-after composer and arranger of varying styles of music, as well as a diverse performer on French Horn and Trumpet. 
 
Mrs. Douglas has served as a guest clinician at many schools in the Southeastern United States, to include schools in: the Metro Atlanta Area, Tallahassee, FL, Naples, FL, Miami, FL, Broward County, FL and West Palm Beach, FL.
 
Prior to her appointment as Director of Bands at Tucker High School, Mrs. Douglas worked as Band Director at William Dandy Middle School, Coconut Creek High School/Silver Lakes Middle School, and Assistant Director of Bands at Blanche Ely High School and Dillard Center for the Arts.
